I'm trying to install SQL server but I am getting an error message that SQL server cannot be found and I should try install again, may I get help with the error?

Unable to install SQL Server (setup.exe).
Exit code (Decimal): -2068052310Error description: An installation package for the product Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'msodbcsql.msi'.
Check if you already have ODBC 17 Driver for SQL Server installed. If so, uninstall it. It may be that Setup gets confused when the existing driver is not of the same version as in the installation package.

I encountered this issue today while installing SQL Server 2022 Developer edition this morning, and @Erland Sommarskog answer solved my problem.
