I had question about something in reference to my PowerQuery architecture.
I have a data source that resides on a network shared drive, which my workbook queries (with self-query for the addition of comments/notes). Every so often, it will present the "DataSource.Error: Cannot find the file......". If I click "refresh" again, however, the error goes away and the data updates.
How do I mitigate this or prevent this error from presenting? Is this error rooted in permissions to the network drive, perhaps? Or is it just a "necessary evil" kind of issue?
FYI: I cannot share the files in question due to proprietary information, so I was hoping for a more generalized idea on why this occurs and how to limit the instances in which it occurs. More of a "how PQ works" rather than a specific instance-based solution.

Since you want to hear a general information/ answer.
What came up with my mind is there might be a network issue since the file as you mentioned resides on a network shared drive.
Secondly, I want to hear if when you try to refresh the it; does all refresh are successful or not?
That makes sense its a network issue. The client's network is HEAVILY partitioned.
Refresh all is successful for that particular query, however not for all queries. I have multiple queries in the workbook that is sourced from the same data source. So when I refresh all, it successfully updates one query but then another query may present the same error. I have about 12 queries from the same data source (due to the necessity for different reviews based on transaction types, and some are reference tables that require updates daily).
I just remembered that I also encountered that before in Microsoft Fabric. What I did is copy the csv file from on-premise via gateway going to lakehouse files before processing it to power query.
Then for my optimization, I break down the process into different chunks like I separated the dimension from fact csv's since fact are heavy. Then I did a sequential processing for fact csv's like for example inventory will be processed first then sales next so on and so forth.
