Hi

I upgraded to latest version of SCCM 2309 (latest Hotfix).

The prod client version is: 5.00.9122.1000

The pre-prod client version is: 5.00.9122.1018

I selected pre-prod during the upgrade.

I noticed that machines are only upgrading to pre-prod version during there maintenance windows.

Which is fine but is there a deadline for client deployment? If the machines are always off during maintenance windows will the client deployment deadline and force install outside maintenance windows (just like we can do with other updates?

I cannot see a deployment for the client.

Nothing online that can help.

Thanks @AllenLiu-MSFT

    Hi, @SenhorDolas

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Yes, there is a deadline in the Hierarchy Settings like below:

    1

If a computer is not running when it's scheduled to receive the upgrade, the upgrade doesn't occur. When the computer turns on and it receives policy, it schedules the upgrade for a random time within the allowed number of days.

If this occurs after the number of days to upgrade has expired, it schedules the upgrade at a random time within 24 hours after the computer was turned on.

Because of this behavior, computers that are routinely shut down may take longer to upgrade than expected if the randomly scheduled upgrade time isn't within the normal working hours.
