Powershell script getting error message - Get-NetAdapter : Invalid class

Hello all,

I'm a noob here... I'm trying to run a script to get adapter info but getting error message. My goal is to get the adapter DNS ip info and changing it. Can someone tell whey I'm getting this message.

Current system: Windows 11 Pro (build 22631.3593), PS version 22621

Get all network interfaces

$interfaces = Get-NetAdapter | Where-Object { $_.Status -eq 'Up' }

Error message below:

Get-NetAdapter : Invalid class

At line:1 char:1

Get-NetAdapter | Where-Object { $_.Status -eq 'Up' }

Not sure if this helps, but I'm trying to do this on an Azure pc.

Just fyi, error is only on our Azure pc. Our on prem device works as it should.

We basically need to "Run powershell in Intune with administrative permissions"

Your WMI repository is broken.

There are a number of sites that provide instruction on how to resolve the 0x80041010 error code.

Just fyi, error is only on our Azure pc. Our on prem device works as it should.

I'm sorry but I don't know what exactly an "Azure PC" is. Assuming that it is just a normal Windows based virtual machine, then I would expect WMI to return valid data and not give you a 0x80041010 error.

Does ipconfig.exe display the network connection status and IP addresses?

I do not understand that comment. I can run Get-Netadapter from a non-admin Powershell prompt and it works fine.
