  • Compatible with SCSM 2012

    • Hello Anton,

I just checked out the Avanced View\Folder Editor and within the first 5 min I was a fan. It is really awesome what this tool can provide. But here is my concern.

We will for sure upgrade to SCSM 2012. If I now start using your tool to create folders and views will these folders and views still work in 2012 or will the use of your tool maybe even prevent me from upgrading.

I know this is a taff question since SCSM 2012 is not even officially released but maybe you already tested that.

      Thank you
      Marcus
    • Views and folders create by this editor is 100% compatible with SCSM. So, the only question is compatible your views and folders with SCSM 2012 )) And it's not depend from how you create it - via standard editor, via my editor or via authroing the xml. 99% of views will be compatible with SCSM 2012. But you must check your views to be sure.
PS You can't install current version of the advancer editor to SCSM 2012.

    • Hi Anton,

When trying to edit the built-in activity views such as "Activities assigned to me" I get this when I click OK:

I thought this was because I had extended the MA and RA classes perhaps but now I also get this on a different installation...

Does your editor support these views?

      Cheers,

      Rob
    • Thanks for feedback.
That CU level of your installation?
    • Please download new version and try it. Look like after CU2 change the Enums fields.
    • Timezone differences, sorry :)

      Yep, on CU2.

That's working great again now, Anton. Thanks very much for fixing it and providing it in the first place, it is extremely useful.
    • Sorry, Anton, spoke too soon. It works for the 1st edit but then throws the error again for subsequent edits...
    • Sorry. My mistake. Please try new version (1.2.6555.14).
  • Enabling Advanced view/folder creation in custom areas

    • Hi Anton,
Is it possible to extend this MP to enable your excellent features within other areas of the console?

e.g. I've extended the console with my own wunderbar, with my own folders and views for my own classes, but would like to have your advanced view/folder tasks available to customise them further.

      Cheers,
      Steve
    • Yes, editor use standard methods (internal), so you can attach console task with editors to any folder\view.
