Config Mgr Inactive Computer Remover

Inactive computers has always been an issue for sccm admins. There are spesific controls that stop inactive computers to be discovered from active directory. But sometimes they do not work the way we need them to.Thats why I created this app to delete inactive computer from sccm.

    • Merhaba Zeki Bey,
    • Merhaba Okan Bey,
      İlginiz için teşekkür ederim.
1- AD üzerindeki logon time stamp değerinden okuyor.
2- Bazen logon time stamp değerleri güncel olmayabiliyor. Sorduğunuz DC'ye bağlı olarak. Replikasyonlarınızın düzgün çalıştığından emin olun.
3- Yazdığınız değeri mevcut günden çıkartarak geriye doğru gidiyor.

    • Hi, thanks for this tool very usefull.
But i have some suggestion about it like when you get your first list ( say 45 days ) i have to close and reopen it to make another research. Can you make it already available when we edit the number of days to research ?
And somethign else, when i get the list, can you make the list window extensible ? i want to see more computer listed.
      Thanks for it
    • Hi fantomass,
Thanks for your feedback. I liked your suggestion. Probably I can integrate my next version. Also ı have new ideas for this app. I think it will be cool. keep in touch :)

    • Is there a specific location these files need to be? I put them all in a folder at the root of C:\. The application runs but when I click "Get Inactive Computers" I get an error: "unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore...."
    • Thank you for your feedback Nick. I used Configmgr 1606 dll. If you have Sccm 2012 R2 in your environment, you can get "unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore...." error. I updated dll for support config mgr 2012 R2. Can you check it pls.
    • I'm getting this error with my SCCM 1610 environment.
    • Hi Scott3304,
Copy adminui.wqlqueryengine and microsoft.configurationmanagement.managementprovider dlls with yours. You can find that dlls in this path , Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\X64 .
    • Zeki,
I just did that, but I'm still getting the exception. It happens after the search runs for about a minute or so.
    • Scott3304,
Is your account has necessary rights on SCCM ? And you must run that tool on sccm management server. Do you meet this requirement?
    • Yeah, I'm running it locally on the server, and my account has full admin.
The search starts and displays results, but like I said, after running for about a minute I get that exception.
    • Can you write domain name as netbiosname to domain name field?
    • Same thing.
Paying a little closer attention to it, it seems to be getting the error at the exact same spot every time. It's not a time thing, it errors when the machine counter hits 322. I'm not sure if there's some result causing the error or if that's the end of the scan and that's when the error pops up.
    • I tested my tool on sccm 1610.
It worked without error.I listed 560 inactive computer.
Can you try the app on your test environment if you have?

    • I noticed that once you got the list and selected a machine(s) to be deleted, the Delete button is grayout so you can't go back to select other machines. You will have to rerun the list again.
    • Thank you for your feedback. I updated the app. After the computer deletion process, "Get inactive Computers" button will be enable for re-listing the inactive computers.
