    • Hi
I have exported the file share list from cluster file server and importing it to a standalone file server I have updated the exported result with the standalone server but still it gives error.
      ERROR \\HQDRNASW01\Weekly Progress I:\PUBLIC\PMO\1 Admin\1 Progress Update\1 Weekly = 2
      Appreciate your advice.
    • Hi!
According to https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa389393(v=vs.85).aspx the return value 2 indicates Access Denied. Did you run the import elevated (run as admin)? Do you have permissions to create shared folders?
      Best Regards

Kindly help me on how to export from standalone to Cluster.
    • Hi and Sorry for the late response!
      Actually it is quite simple
Export the shares with the export-shares.ps1 script, this will create the input file shares.log.
Copy shares.log to the current owner node of the file server group.
On the owner node make sure the folder you are going to share exists.
In shares.log make sure the drive letter matches the clustered file server drive letter.
Run the script on the owner node from the folder where you saved shares.log to create the shares
Hope that answers your questions. If not, please do not hesitate to contact me!
