Get Lync / Skype for Business User Call Routing Settings

  • Error: Cannot convert value

    • I have tested with a SIPuri, hosted on a SBA, and got the following error:
      Cannot convert value "<routing xmlns="" name="rtcdefault" version="2" ........<long output cropped>..
      Error: "This document already has a 'DocumentElement' node."
      At C:\temp\Get-CsUserRoutingConfig.ps1:100 char:1
      + [xml]$XMLData = [System.Text.Encoding]::ASCII.GetString($RoutingInformation.Data ...
      + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          + CategoryInfo          : InvalidArgument: (:) [], RuntimeException
          + FullyQualifiedErrorId : InvalidCastToXmlDocument
      If tested with a SIPuri hosted on Lync2013 pool, it works fine.
    • Unfortunately this is something I overlooked in my testing. I will have to test it in my lab and publish an updated fix.
    • Ok, so it wasnt my mistake, but some real issue with the script? Glad I helped to discover it :)
