    • Hi Rob,

Nice Job and thank you for this work.
I would like to resume and improve your work. Is it possible to get the source?

    • Apologies, but for various reasons I cannot supply the original source for this solution.

    • Good job and Thank you for your effort.

Do you have similar solution for Service Request ?
    • Sorry, I originally wrote this for SCSM 2010 and never got around to extending it.

I now work for Cireson, though. We do have an HTML 5 based web console that will have SR functionality shortly. For more info on that, please see:

    • Hi Rob.
      Nice work.
When I go to resolved Incident into Action Log and go back via IncNumber button, I get this Error:

      Server Error in '/' Application.

Description: Request Validation has detected a potentially dangerous client input value, and processing of the request has been aborted. This value may indicate an attempt to compromise the security of your application, such as a cross-site scripting attack. You can disable request validation by setting validateRequest=false in the Page directive or in the configuration section. However, it is strongly recommended that your application explicitly check all inputs in this case.

    • Man, I need to update my notification settings...

Sorry. Not sure why this is. Try downloading streams.exe from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb545027.aspx and running "streams -d" on the downloaded zip to remove the Internet zoning then copy the files again. Perhaps it is a .NET security thing.

    • Hi Rob

Can you add the affected user's contact details? or is there a way I could edit this site

      Thanks
    • Sorry, this solution is as it is for now :)
  • Microsoft Assemblies

    • 10. Update the Microsoft assemblies in the bin folder with those from your Management Server (don't thing required if actually running on an MG, you can remove them).

      Hi Rob

Nice work with this. but I am abit stuck on the part above. do I just copy the files over to the other folders in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\System Center Service Manager Portal? or do I need to do it for the analyst & enduser folders aswell.

      Thanks

  • Invalid Incident Id

    • Hi

      I am getting this error

"An invalid Incident Id was specified or this data has been groomed."

      This happens on every incident.

Also, when you say to copy the MS Assemblies, what do you mean exactly?

      Thanks

    • Are you planning on publishing the source code anywhere? Our team loves this but they'd like me to modify the screens some.

      thanks for this.
    • Big apologies, I somehow missed your question :)

This is not something I'm willing to make the source code available for - but - I have recently updated this download so that you can resolve, transfer or re-assign the incident. There have also been improvements for sizing on larger screens.

Version of dll in our SCSM Portal is 7.0.5826.0, after replace dll in Incident View with dll from SCSM Portal error still the same.
    • Hi Matrenin, I've downloaded and tested the zip on a test system and it is working ok for me. There are a few a reasons I've found for this error on the web (although I'm no web-dev expert).

One is not having .NET 3.5 SP1 installed, this would probably affect Windows 2008 (R1) only, is this your case?

Otherwise, I could try making the site updatable on the publish options...

      Cheers,

      Rob
    • Hi. We use 2008 R2 server (.NET Framework 3.5.1 features installed), besides other .NET application, such as SCSM Portal, work normally. I copy Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Core.dll into bin folder, now I get error "The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized"
    • Hi Rob

Thank you for the useful pack. Is it possible to add an IncidentSource field to View?

And when analyst opens an URL to view incident he will want to see the incident resolution details like user replies and analyst comments. So it would be very helpful if whole action log was displayed in View.
    • I solve the problem. We have 2 servers (SCSM and SCSM self-service portal - web application), I tried install your application on web server. Fail. After installation it on SCSM all working. Could I ask your to add support remote connection to SCSM management group? Then we could install your service on any server in network, and use as part of our solutions. Cheers.
    • I have updated this to allow a Server parameter in the URL, for example ?Id=IR1234&Server=server01.
Also added action log and resolution comment buttons. No source property, no time :)
    • It works! =) Great work, thanks. May be better move this parameter to app settings in web.config, but from other side this solution more flexible. Anyway thanks. Cheers.
    • Hi Rob. Now we see action log in the View, thank you very much for the good job. Yesterday I ask you about showing an Incident Source in the View. Is it possible to implement? Sorry for the reminder :)
    • I've added Source, but that's the last one or else I'll be sending you an invoice :P
    • P.S. Please rate this item.
    • I guess that features which have been done would help to another who uses the SCSM. Anyway thank you, I've rated :) By the way, we could discuss the implementation of the required features for a fee. For example we need the customization of the "Task to assign an incident to a list of actual analysts read from an AD group".

    • Matrenin, did you resolve your original error simply by moving from the portal server to a Management Server?
    • Needed Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Core.dll, added to latest zip or copy from your Management Server to the bin folder.
  • Runtime Error

    • I got an error:
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

    • Matrenin got this problem on the main question. I believe this happens if the Portal is not installed on a Management Server (I only have my portals Mangement Servers so I don't know what components are installed if you only install the portal). At this point I don't know what causes this error, sorry.
