    • We are unable to change the reference server default value in the override controlled parameter. The override value has been updated as our new ntp server but the old net server value stays in default server and the alert keeps on continuing. We changed the value on both monitor and rule but still the alert / event keeps on generating as it shows referring to the old time server. Please let me know how can we change the NTP reference server value.
    • Yep I see the problem - the rule is not allowing for a refserver override for some reason. I will look into this and update the mp.
    • Nevermind I was looking at the wrong rule. No - I do not see any issues. I can override just fine. You are likely using an incorrect override, or not overriding the same objects for the rule and the monitor together. Make sure you are overriding for Windows Server Operating System objects, or a Windows Computer that contains them, or a Group of windows computers that contain them, and do not have conflicting overrides.

    • The dependencies for this management pack cannot be located.
To remove this management pack from the import list, right-click the management pack and click Remove. To see the list of missing dependencies, click Error in the Status column.

    • Hi Kevin,
Thanks a lot for this MP. Recently we imported this MP in our prod environment, due to some reason I had to uninstall and reinstall MP. But once I uninstalled MP, Old alerts (700+) stayed back in SCOM console with unknown source. Could you please help me to remove these alerts from SCOM DB.
      Your advice is much appreciated
  • Error while creating override

    • Hi Kevin,
First of all Thanks for Management pack. This is what I was looking for.
      Challenge is -
In our environment, we have two different Gateway servers catering two different domains apart from Management zone. while creating override for RefServer for different domain, I am getting error. which says -
Database error. MPInfra_p_ManagementPackInstall failed with exception:
      failed to validate item:
      Aliasda"SOME LONG NUMBER" OverrideForRuleDemoTimeDriftPerCollectionRuleForContextUINameSpace"SOME BIG NUMBER-Diff than earlier"Group
Could you let me know what went wrong.
One-thing observed- when we create override, it don not allow me to create new management pack for override. option greyed out.
