  • Forms with Input not working
    2 Posts | Last post October 27, 2015
    • Hi,

This looks like an amazing module. I installed ShowUI and some examples like the clock work but any with user input controls do not. For example, SimpleUserInputandSplatting just displays a minimized window that does not contain controls. I am using PowerShell 4.0 on Windows 7 SP 1. Any ideas on the problem?

      Thanks,

      Bryan
    • I was sure this was working for me the other day, but after uninstalling and re-installing a few times (trying version 1.4 and 1.5) I now have to specify New-Label before the label text or I get a minimized windows that does not contain controls.
  • Found no sample on how to populate a ComboBox/ListBox/List dynamically.

    • There seems to be some knowledge missing that prevents easily passing an array variable to New-List/New-ComboBox etc. as a list of ListItems. What am I missing?

    • is it necessary to select each file
      and click allow?

    • I have found the solution myself.

I looked to the properties of the zip file
      and clicked to allow.
After unzipping all files were without certification warning.

    • That's one way to get rid of the problem. The other is to set your execution policy to "Bypass", which will avoid prompting for files downloaded from the Internet. I may make a change to the installer to make the scripts self-signed, since numerous organizations lock down the execution policy with Group Policy.
