Start menu roaming for Windows 10 v1703 Creators Update and (maybe) later

Roaming the start menu layout for users is often requested by the end users. Starting with Windows 10 version 1703 Creators Update it is possible to roam the layout of the start menu using UEV. Please be aware that this is not an official Microsoft solution.

    • Hello Mr. Stenhall, in Insider Preview 16251 i get an error 2042
File Store Set FileValue: Could noct Copy or delete file. boost:: filesystem::remove: Access failed: "c:\Users\""\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Cachees\{}.3.ver0x0000000...03.db"
I test this UEV.xml in 1703 and write back...
    • I have not done any testing in newer builds than 1703 so I probably should revise the headline and clarify this. It is not unlikely that Microsoft change how the start menu items are stored once again.
