I have just looked at the XML entries for the SQL server exclusions. There is no entry for: %ProgramFiles%\
Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11. MSSQLSERVER\MSS QL\Binn\SQLServ r.exe This is a requirement for SQL 2012 exclusions. I am guessing these have not been updated as new server revisions are released?
Hello! You can find all informations about SQL versions here : https://support
.microsoft.com/ fr-fr/kb/321185 You just have to modify, add, or delete entries depending on deployed versions. For example : SQL 2008 10 SQL 2008R2 10.50 SQL 2012 11 SQL 2014 12 Regards
Hello Mathias, Good job. I want to ask if the exchange and the SQL template work for Exchange 2013 and SQL Server 2012 respectively? In a situation where we have the database and logs on different drives from c:, do I need to specify this drives in the exclusion list? Thanks, Ope
Hello, I confirm that templates work for Exchange 2013 and SQL Server 2012. If your databases and logs are on different drives, you just have to import policy templates then modify them. After that, you can modify a policy by editing exclusion parameters. You either create and define environment variable (https://techne
t.microsoft.com /en-us/library/ ff730964.aspx) or you define the full path: %MySqlVar% %MySqlDriveVar% \Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.14 \MSSQL\Data\*.m df S:\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.14 \MSSQL\Data\*.m df Regards
Hi. Which template would you be using for default Windows Server 2012 / R2 servers from the v6 package? Thanks, Anders
Hello Matthias, Thanks very much for these updates. Thought this link might be useful for the next time you are updating these templates as it contains updated info for Skype For Business exclusions (http://ucmart.

Hello Matthias, thanks for these templates, they are very helpfull. Is there a template available for Lync 2013? I found a link to a Technet article with all exclusions (https://techne
t.microsoft.com /en-us/library/ dn440138.aspx), but a template is so much easier to use.
Hello ! Sorry for the delay, i made it and tested. Regards.
Is there a template for a General 2012 R2 server? I only see 2008. thank you. KAC

Are there any significant differences between the policy templates for different versions of the software? For example, the Exchange template was written for Exchange 2010. Will it still work on 2013, or do changes have to be made? Likewise for SharePoint and Data Protection Manager.
Hello, Yes there are regularly new exclusions to be implemented for new product releases. I regularly evolve these strategies by merging the exclusions product versions. I've already intergate update exclusions for Exchange 2013 (http://technet
.microsoft.com/ en-us/library/b b332342) and no changes have been announced for exclusions in DPM 2012 that differ from 2010 (http://technet .microsoft.com/ en-us/library/f f399439.aspx). Regards.
Hey Matthias, nice upload. I found a typo in the SCCM xml here: <AddValue Name="E:\Progra
m Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Smswrit ter.exe" Type="REG_DWORD " Disabled="false ">0</AddValue> It should obviously be SMSWriter so you have an extra 't'.
Thank you for your feedback. I'll correct it in v5. Regards.
