    • The part about "Verified on the following platforms" is confusing. It lists "Windows Server 2012" as "YES" but "Windows Server 2012 R2" as "NO".

The page also clearly states that: "This guide does not apply to Windows Server 2012"

So why is the guide verified for "Windows Server 2012" when it's only for "Windows Server 2012 R2"?

      best regards

    • Simple human error on my part when I created this post. The error is fixed now. Thanks for pointing this out, Henrik.

    • Teaming NIC in WS 2012R2 is some different WS 2012
  • NIC Teaming has not been included in Windows Server operating systems?

    • I'm not sure if you can answer my question.
I find this user guide from the Windows server 2012R2 NIC Teaming library by below link.
      https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831648(v=ws.11).aspx

“This feature has been a requirement for independent hardware vendors (IHVs) to enter the server network adapter market, but until now NIC Teaming has not been included in Windows Server operating systems. ”
Can you explain above statement? Obviously Windows Server 2012 and 2012R2 has inclueded NIC Teaming, and here's a user guide. Is this a mistake, or if it means there will be no technical support on NIC teaming? Thank you.
  • Nic teaming on DCs ?

    • I know is a little old question, but i couldn't find an answer to this yet. It is supported and recommended using windows 2012 native Nic teaming on a Domain Controller for failover reasons only?
    • Yes, using NIC Teaming on a DC is recommended and supported. Thanks for your question.
  • Not a question
