  • Use of variables

    • Hey Denny,
really love your tool. Only thing that I'm missing, is the ability to use variables like %username%. The homefolderpath should also be templateable.
The variable would be useful in AD Tab 2 -> profile path and for the homefolderpath.
Would be great if you add it in your next release.
    • Hi Simon.
Version 4.7 that was released over the weekend includes this feature. Please go to About > Operating instructions on how to use variables.
  • Different email address

    • Lovely work.
Instead of just adding an additional email address, it would be nice if it was possible to specify a different default email address.
    • Hi Steen,
I am including this feature in the next version. Also ability to verify dupicate SMTP address.

    • In the Lync tab field is there any plan to be able to enable enterprise with inputs or search able fields for Line URI, Dial Plan Policy and Voice Policy?
In the Exchange tab field is there any plan to be able to enable Unified Messaging with input or search fields for policy selection?
    • Hi Nate,
We currently do not have Lync Enterprise voice in our lab. We are working to implement this in place and add the additional policies to z-hire.
For now, you can use the z-hire custom script option to set those.
    • Nate,
Can you drop me a line at support@zohno.com , I would love to help you with this.

    • Great tool! Is there anyway to integrate this tool with SCSM to provide recording and logs of all the new accounts that were created? Also, any possibility for an approval process before hand?
    • Hi Isaz,
Since I am the only developer working w/ help of a few friends, I don't think I will have time for this. However, we are planning to write a web based version of this tool that will allow scheduling and work flow functionality.

    • 1. Copy groups from an existing user.
      2. Custom SAM rule.
      3. Specify UPN based on rules. For example firstname.lastname@domain. Many organizations use different SAM and UPN usernames.
      4. Set Login script.
      5. Save and automate the home folder. For example always using path and username.
    • 6. Lync sipadress type rule. For example based on UPN
    • Thanks for your suggestions. BTW, you may type in the SamAccountName directly to the textbox for custom samaccount name.
