No applications show up under VM Applications for Virtual Machines after creation in Compute Gallery

I created a couple of basic VM applications in Azure Compute Gallery to be able to install on new and current VMs, but they do not show up when attempting to add them via Extentions+Applications for current or new VMs. The VM definitions show as being successful when created, and the VMs and Replication are both in the same region. I'm pretty much at a loss. I followed the documentation and the video below. I must be overlooking something, but everything looks right...

    Hello Kirk Tarulis

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

Thanks for responding back and sharing the document link.
Based on the details you provided, looks like you have followed the correct steps to create the VM applications in the Azure Compute Gallery. However, there could be a few reasons why the VM applications are not showing up when you attempt to add them via Extensions+Applications for current or new VMs.

First, please make sure that you have selected the correct gallery and application version when you are adding the VM application to your VM.

Second, please ensure that the VM application is published and available in the region where you are trying to deploy the VM.

As you mentioned, if the VM definitions show as being successful when created, and the VMs and Replication are both in the same region, and also if you have verified that the VM application is published and available in the region where you are trying to deploy the VM, and you have selected the correct gallery and application version when adding the VM application to your VM, then it is possible that there is an issue with the VM application extension.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can check the status of the VM application extension. If the status is "Failed", you can click on the VMAppExtension to view the error message and troubleshoot the issue.

If the status is "Succeeded", but you are still unable to see the VM application in the Extensions+Applications section, you can try restarting the VM and then checking again. If the issue persists, you can try redeploying the VM application and then checking again.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that there is an issue with the VM application itself. In this case, I would recommend reviewing the VM application logs and error messages to identify the root cause of the issue.

    Hope this helps.
