Dual lock screen for Windows

The problem:

I have two monitors with extended screens set up. Only the main monitor shows my lock screen. The secondary monitor goes black. I want both screens to show my lock screen.

Other users have asked for this feature in previous years, and I do not understand why it hasn't been addressed yet.

What I've tried:

  • Setting up a screensaver. This is not the feature I am talking about (lock screen) and it still does not work on the second monitor. The ability to extend a screensaver display (an option that once existed according to other user posts) is not an option now.
  • I installed the Wintermelon third-party script and was able to get the tasks "ready" in the task manager, but it still did not solve my problem. Maybe the script is outdated now. Other users also were recently unable to install Wintermelon.

    Hi Kellie,

Thanks for your post. Please understand that Windows 11 does not support Dual Monitor lock screens. 1 monitor will have the lock screen (your MAIN) and all others will remain blank until you login to your compute. However, there are third party applications you can research to see if they work (but please bear in mind that these would not be supported by Microsoft, so please do it with extra care). Also, it is suggested to feedback to Microsoft develop team for this user voice. Kindly open the Edge and press Ctrl+Alt+I to open the Microsoft Feedback Hub and feedback the issue. Thanks very much for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue

    Hello

Since this is the default behavior, we could use the built-in "Feedback" tool to submit a feature feedback.

Just search "Feedback Hub" and following the instructions.
