    • What would be the procedure to update Office 2010 once it is in as an App-V package. The instructions say to disable windows update before sequencing so is there a procedure we should follow monthly to update the package and then redistrabute?
    • Hello, AKlein,
To update an Office 2010 package, download the updates you’d like to apply and copy them to your Sequencer virtual machine. Open the package in the App-V Sequencer, select Modify an Existing Virtual Application Package, and select your existing Office 2010 package. Perform a custom installation, and run the patches you wish to install. If you use streaming, be sure to run any applications you’d like to include in your Primary Feature Block. You can then save your newly updated package.

    • I've gotten to the point or running the repair on Office. During the repair it fails, saying "Error 1920. Service 'Office Software Protection Platform' (osppsvc) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges.
It's run as a local admin on a brand new VM. I also cannot start the service manually.
    • Hi, smclowes. Did you install the Microsoft Office 2010 Deployment Kit for App-V on the sequencing workstation? Make sure you are following the instructions in the Prerequisites section in the Readme.
