Exchange 2010 RTM ExFolders

This new tool is really just a port of PFDAVAdmin to Exchange 2010. We changed the name to ExFolders because it no longer relies on DAV, and it's not just for public folders (even PFDAVAdmin, in its public release, was not just for public folders). The name just didn't make sense

    • Hello Community,
is there a way to use ExFolders in a Exchange 2016 environment?
If not, can anyone help to find alternatives?

    • Hopefully somebody still reads this thread.
I have problems running EXfodlers on a Windows 2012 server with Exchange 2013.
Keeps Crashong on me with the following message:
      Problem signature:
        Problem Event Name:	APPCRASH
        Application Name:	ExFolders.exe
        Application Version:	14.17.458.0
        Application Timestamp:	537d6d55
        Fault Module Name:	KERNELBASE.dll
        Fault Module Version:	6.2.9200.16864
        Fault Module Timestamp:	531d34d8
        Exception Code:	e0434f4d
        Exception Offset:	0000000000047b8c
        OS Version:	6.2.9200.
        Locale ID:	1033
I imported the *.reg-file and placed the *.exe in the Bin folder of exchange2013.
      I also "unblocked" the files
      What am I missing here?

    • ExFolders is such a good tool, our help desk can't get along with out it.
I have an ExFolders error that I believe is key to some other issues. The error itself is common. It is the Excepction: The Active Directory User wasn't found. But I do not have an empty Servers container to remove.

    • Hi,
on choosing the destination mailbox I get the following error message:
"Error: The Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology service on localhost can't be contacted via RPC. Error 0x5."
The MSExchangeADTopology service ist configured to run as a system account, it starts automatically and is reported as "started".
      Anyone's got an idea?
    • "Run as admin" solves this 'problem'.

    • I was able to connect to the Exchange server and run the report, but get no data. When I try to expand each mailbox, I see the following error.
Exception: Method not found: 'Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.ExchangePrincipal Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.ExchangePrincipal.FromLegacyDN(System.String, Boolean)'.
      Please advise.
    • You need to get if you use Exchange SP1
  • How do we now fix public folder DACLs?

    • We just migrated from SBS 2003 to SBS 2011, using the Microsoft-supplied procedure. Permissions on many public folders have disappeared and any attempt to edit them generates "Failed to modify the MAPI.NET table property" errors
  • When I try to open a mailbox I get the error "Method not found"
