    • Hey Monimoy Sanyal,
This is wonderful tool but it does not clear credentials from Generic Credentials and other items from Credentials manager of Windows 10 machine? Can it be added to script?

      Thanks,
      Laxman

    • This clears some but not everything, I still see a heap of 'Generic Credentials'. Do I need to do something else to have these removed?
  • I can't get this to work on Windows 10

    • Hi,

Thank you for sharing this, it works fine. I have ran this Wiper.exe "-IEonly" using GPO logon script, but they only problem is users can see the gui bit then they logon, is there another switch to make it run in the background? For e.g. Wiper.exe "-IEonly" -s or /s?

      Thanks
  • I can run it through task sheduler

      -----------------------------------
      cmdkey.exe /list > "%TEMP%\List.txt"
      findstr.exe Target "%TEMP%\List.txt" > "%TEMP%\tokensonly.txt"
      FOR /F "tokens=1,2 delims= " %%G IN (%TEMP%\tokensonly.txt) DO cmdkey.exe /delete:%%H
      del "%TEMP%\list.txt","%TEMP%\tokensonly.txt" /s /f /q
      -----------------------------------
    • I tested this code on Windows 10 1803 with Cumulative updates for August 2018.
It works as a NON-ADMIN and with the Credential Manager Service Disabled for the logged on user ONLY.
I logged on as a non-admin user and ran Credential Manager App, and verified had 1 generic credential.
I Left the app open and opened a DOS command prompt as admin using an admin credential and stopped the Credential service.
Ran the batch file with the code as the user, it reported sucess.
F5 the credential manager app and the listed credential went away!
So to implement this fully we are using Group Policy to disable the Credential manager service and the running this batch file with SCCM under the users context, only when the user is logged on, silently.

One caveat, if your users are restricted from using the DOS command prompt this probably will not work, these are DOS commands which invoke a cmd.exe process.

  • Does not work

    • Tried in CMD as administrator as well as GUI as administrator both failed. In Gui, it just hangs and says it's working... but does nothing and in CMD it just runs in the background and does nothing.
  • Can't get this to work

    • Windows 10 1709 Enterprise. Run the EXE as admin or with admin account on pc. Select clear OS credentials. Says working but it just hangs and does nothing. Broken.
  • Can you make a small edit

    • Wiper.exe Option Clear All Credentials is running "Net use * /Del" hidden before initiating the powershell script which also runs the same command. The issue is, if you have active connections the process halts because net.exe is waiting for input to continue operation to close active connections (Do you want to continue this operation? (Y/N) [N]:).

If you remove net use * /Del command from the main process, then people can selectively choose to comment out the command from powershell script.

Additionally the command should be net use * /DEL /Y since the cmd window is hidden.
