OSD - PowerBI Template Version 1.2

UPDATED:Version 1.2 Notes:Tthis version of the OSD has corrected several small bugs that I won't mention but one rather large bug around the structure of time. Originally I was using Name0 as the key for calculating time for the duration of TS. I have now updated that to use the

  • Is it possible to add Year to Calendar months?

    • Hi Jordan, this is great but is it possible to add a year to the 'Successfully imaged Machines per Month' so it is only pulling results for this calendar year?

    • I've ran the duration query on my SQL-server and it took 14mins to come back with the results.
PowerBI times out on the TSRunTimeTotals query because of that duration, any way to resolve or extend the time-out?

    • The Average TS Run Time is showing as 5.03K.
What does that mean? 5000 what?
Using a traditional SSRS OSD Dashboard from Thomas Larsen, the average runtime is 123 mins.
    • It means 5K minutes - what's likely happening is that because of how the database stores the data - it allows ALL images of a machine to come back so some machines where the image has been re-run - it will cause the run time to grow exponentially.
If you apply a filter to only show you runs from the past year it should match up much more closely with the other report you're running. I deliberatly don't filter some of the results like this to allow people to apply filters.

    • Can you add an option to specify the database server name? Our primary and database servers are separate.
    • Please disregard. I'm not a smart man!
    • Glad you got it sorted. I like the parameter options a lot for that exact reason.
    • We too have separate servers, where did you specify the SQL Server name? Is that what you used in place of the DBName section?
      Thanks in advance.

    • I agree with AdamGrossTX
    • This is within the PBIT when you open it (or should be) its a parameterized option that you can update by changing the parameter for Servername and Database.
