  • Issues with Update Repair and Debug2v3
    2 Posts | Last post December 16, 2019
    • I recently performed a fresh install of windows and made a RAID0 array out of my 2SSD. Afterwards I entered my MS Software License and activated the product. It continued to validate and confirm a genuine copy of windows. Now that I have done that I want to install all the system updates but I keep receiving a HEXerror (0x80240fff). Tech support said to reset the update and intelligent services and repair or replace any missing files. I have done this without failure. After that I tried using MS Update services again to see if this alleviated my issue. It did not. I tried to run Debug2v3 but it said I must first uninstall all previous MSI. I did that as well but Debug2v3 still fails to install. My issue here is that the Windows10Pro license I have was for build 1501. I joined the free insider programs and my version and all security updates were updated to build 1903. NOW! None of my apps will run on anything less that build 1709.1.1 and I cannot update my system....so at this point I can't use it for anything more than an overglorified clock and to browse the internet. My hardware as follows:MOBO ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA VIII (with all current BIOS),CPU Intel I7-6700k, RAM Gskill TridentZ PC3200mhz, VGA MSI Nvidia GTX1070 Armor& EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX960ti. All hardware is configured and updated properly and functioning propely. Is there anything you can do to help me repair my windows build so I can use my apps? If you could send me a reply to VvZodiacvV777@gmail.com entitled Update & Repair, I would be ever so grateful and send you a commission via Pay-Pal.

                                         Thank You & Best Regards,
                                                             Ben Pearson
    • Hi Ben,

This tool starts as an option for users with business licenses.

In order to help users with specific issues, the "Reset Windows Update Tool" has been proposed. You can find detailed documentation with several steps in https://github.com/ManuelGil/Reset-Windows-Update-Tool/wiki that you can follow in search of a solution.

If the issue persists, I recommend using the DISM LimitAccess argument that you can find in the article https://www.wintips.org/fix-dism-0x800f081f-error-in-windows-10-8/

I appreciate your collaboration and I hope this information helps you.

      Thank you and Best Regard,
      Manuel Gil.

    • Hi Kasthuri Kumar,

Try reset the winsock with this tool: https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Reset-Windows-Update-Agent-d824badc

If the issue continue, repair windows with dism command.

    • Hello Manual,

I need to reset the SUS Client ID on an unknown amount of PCs so I'm going to just reset it on all of them. Is there a way to run this script silently so I can push it out via GPO or something similar?
    • Hi S0URSH0ES,

I can implements a silent mode and repost it. In two days I post it a new version with this feature.

      Thank you for your comment.
    • Hi,
