This script will create a local custom presence XML file on your computer and set the correct registry entries so you may enjoy custom presence states even though your company has not deplyed them or you do want to use your own states. Updated with support for Office 2016

    • Does this script sometimes print out errors even when it works correctly?
After running the script, do you need to open an xml file at "C:\_CustomPresence\CustomPresence.xml", and change it to contain the messages you want?
Do you need to fully close restart skype before seeing the changes?

    • Both of the Office functions use the same test:
      'Test-Path HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync'
      Shouldn't they be different tests?

    • I can't seem to add more then 4 statuses for Busy. If I copy a section and make it #5, none of the custom status show up. Any ideas?

    • Can't seem to get this to work with version 16.0.6001.1073. XML generated ok. Registry entries added but no custom states unfortunately. Any ideas?
    • Hi Mark and Stale... I have the same problem and would love to hear if/how you resolved it. My version is 16.0.6925.1049.
    • Tried and tested using on Skype for Business 2016 MSO 16.0.6326.1010 32-bit. It's working.
    • Hi, just validated the script and it works. If you use the state of Busy that will not work and nothing will show up in your client. The presence states that works are Online, Busy, and Do-Not-Disturb
