Sharing a advanced script that I have used for one of our projects, This script is compatible with Powershell Version 2.0 & 3.0There was a requirement from Backup Team that  When they run the script on particular folder it should recurse thru all subfolder Take ownership of on

  • File permissions not changed

    • The script works well for folders and subfolders, but for the files it does not change the permissions even though it indicates that you have successfully changed the files as well.
      Example after running the script:
      "User XPTO has rights on File.txt"
      When you check the permissions of the file it continues with the same original permissions.
      "You do not have permissions to view or edit the permissions settings for this object"
    • written long ago will test again when I get some time.
