VBscript - Network Driver information

This script runs either locally or remotely as specified by the strComputer variable at the start of the script. The value can be changed by launching the script using either cscript / wscript eg:cscript QueryWMIforNetworkDriverInfo.vbs computer1 : Will run query against computer

    • Hi,
I need to get the network card driver version for multiple computers. how do i use this to provide an input from text file and generate output to an excel file.
      Please help.
    • Well if you want to gather data for multiple pc you would have to execute the script multiple times and append to a plain text file. For example you could create a batch file like this:
      echo NICs for: server01 >> NetworkCardsinServers.txt
      cscript.exe QueryWMIforNetworkDriverInfo.vbs server01 >> NetworkCardsinServers.txt
      echo NICs for: server02 >> NetworkCardsinServers.txt
      cscript.exe QueryWMIforNetworkDriverInfo.vbs server02 >> NetworkCardsinServers.txt
If you want to gather the information into a delimited or excel sheet, I would probably recommend a PowerShell script as it is more flexible in this aspect. If you require a script like that let me know and I will see what I can do.
