    • Amazing work, and so gracious of you to give back to the community.
Any plans to convert this for compatibility with System Center 2012 or 2016?

    • Is there a way to allow the list of manufactor and equipment type to be edited and extended within SCSM2012. I guess as the class is sealed this is not possible. I tried adding the unsealed version and then the seal versions of the other Mp but this does not work ?
    • Hello Simon, are you currently using this solution with SCSM2012??is it functioning appropriatly?
    • This solution works on SCSM 2012. I just imported the MPs in "Ready to Import" folder and followed the instructions from documentation.

    • i will really appreciate if anyone can update this important package for SCSM2012.
Additionally, i will want classes for managing SLA, maintenance contracts, Software (and SAM)and warranties.
i am sorry for asking too much but i am a newbie and greatly impressed with SCSM and your utility (asst management extensions). This will save us more than $250k if i have this extension as opposed to go the provance or other MP way.
      Thanks Adewale

  • Get the Asset Management in the Configuration Items

    • Hy Steve! First of all, thanks for the post!
Is it possible to get this view in the Configuration Items Root Folder and not in the Wunderbar?
I have tried to change the Parent Folder to the ConfigurationManagementServiceManager.Console.ConfigurationManagement.ConfigItem.Root.
When i import the MP i get an error: "The management pack you are attempting to import contains one or more missing image or assembly resources. Please create a management pack bundle and try importing again."
Do you have any ideas to solve this problem?
      Thanks and best regards,
    • Sorry I never answered this, the notifications don't seem to have been e-mailing me.
Yes it can sit in the Configuration Items root, that's where I originally had it all until someone suggested a separate wunderbar.
I'll take a look when I get a minute and let you know the exact xml lines you'll need to change.
  • Thank You!

    • Thanks for the blogpost about importing the "goods" :)
Is it possible to delete your default suppliers, models etc.
When i try the delete button is greyed out.
Do i have to modify one of the mp´s before importing it?
btw, i used the wrong LiveID in my last question...
    • All the default suppliers, models etc are stored in the AssetManagementLists management pack.
I've included all of the unsealed xml MP's in the "Unsealed MPs" directory, feel free to modify these to your hearts content and remove and that you don't want.
Only thing that will need doing if you do is the MP's will need resealing using your own snk file and the references in the other MP's updating with your public key and again, those resealing.
Would you like another blog post on how to do that? ;)
    • hi Steve.
can you please do that for this specific scenario?
    • or can you provide a version with empty lists?
    • When I find a free minute I'm about ready to release this again, with some minor improvements, including empty lists as default. Bear with me, it should be up soon.
